REKO (Rejäl Konsumtion, or Fair Consumption) is a local food movement that started in Finland in 2013 and has since spread to hundreds of local rings across the Nordics. REKO runs on volunteer work, with no intermediaries and no resale.
The product goes straight from the producer to the customer. No long distribution chains.
You buy from the person who produces your food. You know the farm and the story behind the product.
Rings are run by local volunteer admins, not by companies or organisations.
REKO has been running in Finland for over ten years and grown into hundreds of rings across the country.

REKO is one of Finland's finest food movements: local food straight from the producer to the customer, no middlemen and no artificial marketing. Thousands of families and hundreds of small producers meet every week at local pickup events.
The whole thing grew up inside Facebook groups, and it has worked well there for a long time. But collecting orders from comments is heavy work for producers, and not everyone is on Facebook anymore. RekoTori is built to complement that. It runs around the same REKO rings, but brings ordering, stock and pickup management into one place.

RekoTori has three kinds of users, and the service is built to make life easier for all three.
You want to buy local food easily. Browse local producers, order in advance and pick up at a familiar spot at the agreed time.
A small farm or local baker. You get clear order lists, a shareable listing page, and free hours that used to go into scrolling Facebook comments before every pickup day.
You run a local REKO ring. Set up recurring pickup events once, approve new producers, and let the app handle the rest.
RekoTori is an ordering tool for REKO events. It doesn't replace the ring or the pickup spot. It just makes ordering, order management and communication easier.
The event page brings every producer's products into a single view. Instead of scrolling through Facebook posts one by one, you see everything at a glance.
Each REKO pickup event is its own catalogue with a clear order deadline and pickup window.
Producers set quantities and the app tracks reservations. No overselling and no "sorry, sold out" comments after the fact.
Email and in-app notifications for new orders, approvals and reminders. You decide what you want to hear about.
Every event and producer has its own URL. One click gives you a ready-made Facebook post of your whole offering.
The interface works in all three languages. Handy for rings in multilingual areas.
The admin sets the pickup location and pickup time. A recurring event creates the next ones on its own.
The producer adds their products to the event and sets prices and quantities. The offering appears immediately at the event and on the producer's own page.
The customer browses, adds to cart and orders. Even from several producers at once, each producer gets their own clean order.
The customer arrives at the pickup spot and pays the producer directly. Cash, MobilePay or bank transfer, whichever the producer accepts.
The producer marks orders as picked up, stock updates automatically and the next event is already waiting.
You never pay RekoTori anything. You only pay the producer for what you buy, at pickup.
We don't take a cut of your sales. Basic use is and stays free for producers.
Payment always goes directly between customer and producer. RekoTori never sees your account or charges your card.
We collect only what's needed to handle orders. You can delete your account and your data at any time.
