RekoTori

For ring admins

RekoTori is built alongside REKO, to make the day-to-day easier.

What does a ring admin do?

You approve new producers

You decide who joins the ring. You get a notification when a new producer applies.

You create and manage events

You create pickup events and set the time and place. You can create a recurring event, for example every two weeks, and RekoTori opens the next one automatically.

You handle customer flags

You get a notification when a ring member flags a customer for disruptive behaviour. You review the flags and decide what to do.

Frequently asked

What is RekoTori?+

RekoTori is a Finnish tool for ordering and picking up local food alongside Facebook's REKO rings. Browse producers, order in advance, and pick up at the agreed time. You pay the producer directly at pickup, RekoTori takes no cut.

How much work does running a ring take?+

As a ring admin you set up recurring pickup events once, approve or reject new producers applying to the ring, and can block disruptive customers when needed.

Does RekoTori pay the admin anything?+

No. Running a ring is volunteer work, just like REKO in general. RekoTori is always free for rings and admins.

What if I want to quit?+

You can quit any time. We recommend finding a new admin or handing the role over before quitting so the ring can continue.

Can a ring have multiple admins?+

Yes, and we recommend it. Multiple admins share the work and keep the ring running even when someone is on holiday.

How do I approve new producers?+

You get a notification by email and in the app when a new producer applies to join the ring. From the ring admin panel you can approve or reject the application with one click.
