RekoTori

Terms of Service

Effective from 27 April 2026

Definitions

The following terms are used in this agreement:

  • Service — the RekoTori online service operated by MKstack (business ID 3610698-2).
  • User — a person registered with the service who may act as a customer, producer or group admin.
  • Group — a local REKO circle joined under that group's own rules.
  • Event — a single REKO pickup occasion to which producers can add offerings and customers can place orders.
  • Order — one customer's purchase from one producer at one event.

Use of the Service and Acceptance

By using the RekoTori service you accept these terms and undertake to comply with them. If you do not accept the terms, do not use the service.

Service Description

RekoTori is a marketplace that connects local food producers with customers via REKO pickup events. The service does not process payments and does not act as a payment intermediary — the customer pays the producer directly at pickup using a method announced by the producer (e.g. cash, MobilePay, bank transfer, card).

Eligibility and Account

  • The service is intended for users aged 16 and over. A user under 16 must have guardian consent and an account created by the guardian.
  • Each person may have only one account. Account information must be kept current and accurate.
  • You are responsible for use of your account and for the security of your login credentials. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

Producer Responsibilities

As a producer you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your company, products, prices and availability.
  • Be registered as a food sector operator and to comply with food safety legislation, hygiene requirements (including a hygiene passport where required by law) and self-monitoring obligations.
  • Use a valid business ID and to take care of your VAT and bookkeeping obligations relating to orders.
  • Deliver orders as agreed at pickup events and to notify the customer promptly if delivery is not possible.
  • Use the customer's contact information solely to fulfil that order — not for marketing, not for disclosure to third parties and not for any other purpose.
  • Keep availability and stock information up to date and cancel an offering if the product is no longer available.

Customer Responsibilities

As a customer you agree to:

  • Pick up your order at the agreed time and location.
  • Pay the producer at pickup using the method announced by the producer.
  • Notify the producer promptly if you are unable to collect your order.
  • Repeated no-shows may result in a flag from the group admin or removal from the group at the admin's discretion.

Orders, Cancellations and Stock

  • A placed order is binding: you commit to picking it up and paying for it.
  • You can cancel an order in the service until the event's order deadline. After that, cancellation must be agreed directly with the producer.
  • Stock figures update in real time, but with overlapping checkouts an item may run out — in which case the order may be rejected automatically.
  • If a producer does not confirm an order before the event begins, the system may cancel it automatically and release the reserved quantities.

Prohibited Use

The following are prohibited in the service:

  • Selling or brokering unlawful or restricted products (e.g. alcohol, tobacco, medicines without the required licences).
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination of other users.
  • Automated scraping, abusive load or any attempt to circumvent security.
  • Impersonating another person or company, or providing misleading information.
  • Using customer or producer data for marketing, advertising or any purpose other than fulfilling orders without separate consent.

User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you upload (e.g. product photos, descriptions).
  • By submitting content to the service you grant RekoTori a limited, non-exclusive licence to display, store and back up that content to the extent necessary for operating the service.
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms, applicable law or the rights of third parties.

Disputes Between Users

RekoTori is not a party to the transaction between producer and customer. Disputes about a product, delivery or payment are settled directly between the parties. Group admins may, where appropriate, mediate within their own group.

Limitation of Liability

RekoTori is a marketplace platform connecting producers and customers. RekoTori is not a party to any transaction and accepts no responsibility for product quality, safety, delivery, payment or any other aspect of the transaction. The service is provided "as is" without any guarantee of availability or fault-free operation. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by mandatory law.

Service Availability

We aim to keep the service available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may run maintenance, update features or discontinue parts of the service. We aim to notify users of changes affecting open orders.

Account Closure and Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time on the profile page. Open confirmed orders are then cancelled, reserved quantities are released and your identifying information is removed from order rows. Past orders are retained anonymously for the producer's bookkeeping.
  • We may suspend or restrict access to an account if a user breaches these terms or the law, or endangers the service's operation or other users' safety. We aim to notify the user, unless immediate action is required.

Personal Data

Details of how we handle your personal data are described in our privacy policy. Privacy Policy

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms. We will notify you of significant changes in the service and by email a reasonable time before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland (excluding its conflict-of-law rules). Disputes are primarily resolved through negotiation. If no settlement is reached, the venue is the District Court of Helsinki, or in consumer matters the consumer's local district court. Consumers may also refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
